As with integration models, change pointers should similarly be deleted as they become obsolete. Here, too, while this will be an ad-hoc process in development it is typically set up as a batch process in production. Use transaction CFP4, Delete Change Pointers. Filter either for obsolete change pointers or processed change pointers and provide a date-range. Additional filtration may be entered to specify materials, plants, or production versions. It is naturally advisable for the deletion filter to follow the same settings as the "Send Changes" filter. Click the Execute button to conduct the deletion.
